Inspired Reflections and The Hundred Languages

The Reggio Emilia Approach (REA) is a philosophy that views young children as capable and compassionate citizens who have tremendous capacity as learners. It inspires our teachers and students to be co-constructors in their work of discovery and expression. Written by Loris Malaguzzi, the founder of the REA, The Hundred Languages is a metaphor for the many unique ways that children express themselves when given the opportunity.

The students at The Dewey School express themselves through a myriad of ways as they respond to the environment as a third teacher, inside and out. Please enjoy a sampling of our community's collective body of visual art!

It has been our pleasure to work and learn alongside these amazing and capable humans this year!

What a beautifully peaceful environment. Lucky are the little people who get to spend their days here! Looking forward to see what next year brings!
